Overview

Radiography and imaging technicians produce clear and accurate images of the body that enable physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Technicians operate sophisticated equipment that includes X-ray machines, CT scan, MRI and mammography. By guiding patients through each step of their medical imaging procedures, these specialists ensure the production of high quality images. Students benefit from doing the course in our institution as there is a large volume of work in all areas, being done with excellent supervision.

Career Prospects

Radiology and Imaging has completely revolutinised medicine since X-rays were first discovered by Rontgen in 1895. None of the major hospitals can now function without X-rays, CT Scans, MRI scans and Angiographies. Radiography and Imaging Technology is an exciitng field that aims to trains candidates on different aspects of diagnostic and interventional radiology.

The course enables the candidate to learn about the fundamentals of electromagnetic radiation, x-ray production, fluorography, tomography and advanced imaging like ultrasound, CT, MRI, Angiography and PET, etc.

The career and job opportunities in the field of radiography are enormous worldwide. The demand of radiographers has been increased dramatically in recent times with the huge development in imaging technologies. Radiographers can work in any all kinds of hospitals, diagnostic centers, Teaching Institutions and research field. The employment prospects for radiographers are vast, both within the country and in overseas.
